The late Donald L. Morton, M.D., who established Sentinel Lymph Node (SLN) procedure particularly in melanoma, a technique for determining the early stage metastasis to the tumor draining lymph nodes into which a tumor primarily spreads initially. As pioneers of this technique, JWCI continues to expand its SLN research.

Join Dr. Dave Hoon, Board Member of ISNS (International SLN Society; originally started by Dr. Morton), and Professor & Director of the Department of Translational Molecular Medicine along with alumni fellows and current surgical oncology and urology surgery fellows at the ISNS Biennial meeting in Tokyo on October 11-13, 2018. Dr. Hoon will chair the session: Basic research of sentinel lymph node and its-related lymph circulation and also present: Utility of Genetic and Epigenetic Blood Cell-Free DNA (cfDNA) Biomarkers in Management of Melanoma Patients with Regional Lymph Node Metastasis.
