Tracey Childs, MD, MPH, FACS

Tracey R. Childs, MD, MPH, FACS is board certified in both General and Colorectal Surgery. She has practiced in the Santa Monica community for the past 30 years providing a broad spectrum of surgical services. Dr. Childs uses state of the art surgical techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery to provide treatment for both benign and malignant conditions. In addition to providing care to patients, Dr. Childs is very active in Medical Staff Leadership having been Medical Staff President and now acting as Chief of Surgery at Providence Saint John’s Health Center.

Dr. Childs has served as the past Secretary, Vice President and President of the Southern California Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Venice Family Clinic for her many years of providing surgical services to their patients in need. Dr. Childs most recent adventure involves being an active team member and lead surgeon for surgical missions to Retalhuleu, Guatemala organized by Providence Health International where she has performed hundreds of surgeries to those in need over the last several years.
