In 2025, Saint John’s Cancer Institute researchers published 74 peer-reviewed studies across more than a dozen specialties and subspecialties, developed by 34 scientists and clinicians working alongside their research teams. These studies reflect collaboration both within the Institute and with research partners around the world, addressing complex questions in cancer biology, treatment innovation, and clinical outcomes.<\/p>\n
This year’s Research Report <\/a>introduces a new Executive Summary, highlighting eight highly significant publications that demonstrate the breadth and impact of our scientific work. These selected studies highlight three categories of our foremost articles across different disciplines: Clinical Trials<\/span><\/em>, Translational Research<\/span><\/em>, and Clinical Research<\/span><\/em>, spanning Molecular Biology, Precision Diagnostics, and Clinical Trials, including Immunotherapy, Surgery,<\/strong> and Acute Neurologic Care<\/strong>. Together, these publications, among dozens of others, reflect SJCI’s strength in translating foundational science into clinically meaningful advances, while simultaneously shaping standards of care through high-impact clinical investigation.<\/p>\n Saint John’s Cancer Institute also continues to expand its research infrastructure. In 2025, the Institute launched the Translational and Precision Medicine (TPM) Laboratory<\/strong>, led by Matias Bustos, Ph.D.<\/a> The TPM Lab advances precision-focused approaches to cancer research, supporting efforts to better understand tumor biology and accelerate the translation of laboratory discoveries into clinical applications. Under the leadership of Dave S.B.
