Dr. Yalda Naeini is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Saint John’s Cancer Institute, board certified in Hematopathology as well as Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Naeini joined Saint John’s Pathology department in 2018, following graduating from UCLA Medical Center where she completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as her fellowship in Hematopathology.

In 2018, Dr. Naeini was awarded the Daljit S. and Eliaine Sarkaria Fellowship, granted annually to recognize an outstanding trainee committed to disease research and clinical innovation. Dr. Naeini began developing her research interest in hematologic malignancies during residency, publishing a number of manuscripts including a study characterizing a sub-class of aggressive B cell lymphomas. Her research interests lie primarily in the area of transformed B-cell lymphomas.

Along with her expertise in hematopathology, Dr. Naeini has clinical interests in molecular pathology as well as digital pathology, and brings a diverse skillset to the Saint John’s medical community.
