U.S. News & World Report
In the 2026–27 Best Hospitals rankings, Providence Saint John’s Health Center was recognized among the top nine hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties and the top 14 hospitals in California. Orthopedics was nationally ranked No. 19 and Urology No. 33, while Geriatrics received a high-performing specialty designation.
Saint John’s also received high-performing ratings in 18 procedures and conditions, including colon cancer surgery, gynecological cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery, prostate cancer surgery, heart attack, heart failure, stroke, hip and knee replacement, kidney failure, pneumonia and other areas of care.

Newsweek
Providence Saint John’s Health Center has also been recognized by Newsweek and Statista through national and international hospital ranking programs. Providence Saint John’s Health Center has received national recognition from Healthgrades for surgical care, including designation among America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Excellence in 2026. Heart & Stroke Quality Recognition
American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines®
Providence Saint John’s Health Center received the American Heart Association’s 2026 Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, along with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus Advanced Therapy and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognition.
Saint John’s also received 2026 recognition through the American Heart Association’s Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Center program, including Gold Achievement and Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognition.
These programs recognize hospitals that demonstrate adherence to current, research-based approaches for the treatment of stroke and cardiovascular disease.

Women’s Choice Award
In 2025, Providence Saint John’s Health Center received Women’s Choice Award recognition in five areas: Mammogram Imaging, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Obstetrics, Patient Safety and Stroke Care.
The recognition spans several clinical programs across Saint John’s, including breast health, women’s health, surgical services and stroke care.

Nursing Excellence
Providence Saint John’s Health Center is Magnet® recognized for nursing excellence and has received additional honors from professional nursing organizations.
In 2024, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses awarded a Silver-Level Beacon Award for Excellence to the Post Critical Care Unit and a Bronze-Level Beacon Award for Excellence to the Intensive Critical Care Unit. Beacon recognition reflects nursing leadership, professional practice, patient outcomes and the quality of the care environment.

Newsweek World’s Greenest Hospitals 2026
Providence Saint John’s Health Center was named to Newsweek and Statista’s inaugural World’s Greenest Hospitals 2026 list, which recognizes hospitals demonstrating measurable progress in environmental sustainability and long-term stewardship.
