Dr. Lauren Geisel earned her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and recently completed her general surgery residency at Orlando Health, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. Her research portfolio includes work in breast and colorectal cancer, bariatric surgery, and health disparities, with publications in Surgical Endoscopy, The American Surgeon, and Journal of Clinical Pathways. She has presented at national conferences including the ACS Clinical Congress, ASCO Quality Care Symposium, and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. Dr. Geisel has held leadership roles such as Wellness Chief Resident and representative for the Florida ACS and Association of Women Surgeons. Her academic interests include surgical oncology, health equity, and medical education.
