Dr. Rainna Coelho earned her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and recently completed her general surgery residency at HCA Houston Healthcare – Kingwood. Her research spans surgical outcomes, hernia prevention, and FDA regulatory processes, with publications in The American Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American College of Surgeons, and Hernia.
She has presented at national conferences including the ACS Clinical Congress and held leadership roles in graduate medical education. Dr. Coelho has contributed to surgical education through lectures, curriculum development, and instructional roles. Her academic interests include outcomes research, surgical innovation, and evidence-based practice.
