Dr. Angela Pallesi grew up in small town Montana. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, and Hispanic studies from Montana State University. She then went to medical school at the University of Washington through the WWAMI collaboration. There, she completed many research projects in infectious disease and cardiology prior to electing to pursue general surgery. She completed her general surgery residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center where her research focused on outcomes and trends in neuroendocrine tumors. She graduated in 2020 and joined a hospital group in Missoula, Montana where she has been in general surgery practice for the last four years. Her practice focused on melanoma and breast surgery. Additionally, she established a rural outreach surgery clinic in her hometown of Stevensville Montana. Early in her practice she realized the impact on patients of not having advanced breast surgical care available. She thus elected to pursue fellowship training in breast surgical oncology to bring more advanced techniques and up to date care back to western Montana. Outside of work you will likely find her on a run, playing with her dog, or on the river fly fishing with her husband.
