Dr. Kodai Abe MD, Ph.D, is a hepatobiliary surgeon graduated from Keio University. He is currently working on his 2nd year of his postdoctoral fellowship at Saint john’s Cancer Institute. Dr. Abe is currently working on intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), a rare but aggressive form of liver cancer. As part of his recent work at SJCI, he has identified potential biomarkers that are linked to biological and clinicopathological features are associated with iCCA disease progression.
