Dr. Jamie Whisler earned her medical degree from Pacific Northwest University and recently completed her general surgery residency at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Tacoma, WA where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Whisler’s research has focused on surgical outcomes in colorectal and hepatobiliary cancer surgery with an interest in surgical training. She has presented at national and international meetings including European Colorectal Congress, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and Pacific Coast Surgical Association. Her academic interests include surgical oncology with a multidisciplinary approach, global surgery, and medical education.
