Brian E. Diskin, MD

Donald L. Morton Surgical Oncology Fellowship, Saint John’s Cancer Institute

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Brian Diskin, MD, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Lehigh University with highest honors, then went on to complete medical school, general surgical training, and a T32-funded oncology research fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, NYU/Bellevue Medical Center, and NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center. His tumor immunology research was awarded an ACS Resident Research Scholarship, and has been published in Nature Immunology, Nature Communications, and Oncogene.

After finishing his general surgery training, Dr. Diskin completed advanced surgical fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NYU Grossman School of Medicine. His research interests are in minimally invasive HPB surgery, surgical de-escalation for breast cancer, and disparities in cancer treatment
