Dana Omer completed his general surgery residency at Hackensack University Medical Center. He spent two years as a research fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, under the mentorship of Julio Garcia-Aguilar, MD PhD. During his training, Dr. Omer received multiple honors recognizing his achievements in research, teaching and compassionate patient care. His academic interests focus on colorectal oncology outcomes research, with publications in Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Radiology and Cancers. He has presented at American Society of Clinical Oncology and at the American Association for Cancer Research Colorectal Conference. Dr. Omer’s clinical interests include medical education, minimally invasive and robotic oncologic surgery.
