Translational and Precision Medicine

In January 2026, Serina Quach, M.S., joined the TPM lab. Serina Quach is an Associate Research Specialist at Saint John’s Cancer Research Institute within the Translational and Precision Medicine Laboratory. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Irvine, where she conducted early research on novel therapeutic mechanisms targeting bacterial pathogens including P. aeruginosa and E. coli. She went on to complete her M.S. in Biotechnology, focusing on molecular pathways involved in immune system activation and protein glycosylation. During her graduate training, she gained extensive experience in immunology techniques such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell viability assays. She further broadened her translational research background through a Chemistry Internship at a biotechnology startup, deepening her understanding of chemistry-driven therapeutic development.

At Saint John’s Cancer Institute, Serina contributes to research projects in melanoma, breast cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. Her work supports ongoing efforts to advance precision medicine and deepen understanding of cancer biology.
