Breast Cancer Survivor, Michaela, shares her amazing story and how she felt about her treatment. Dr. Parvin Peddi, Director of Breast Medical Oncology at Saint John’s Cancer Institute, provides context for this special case.
“Dr. Parvin Peddi has the kindest eyes and warmth emanates from her the moment she enters a room. Because she is an oncologist, nobody wants to have to meet her in that setting, but she immediately made me feel like I was in the best hands and with someone who not only knows her stuff medically, but has an unparalleled bedside manner. She always asks if I have questions and really listens to me. And then asks again just to make sure she has covered everything. I do not ever wish cancer on any person but if you must be treated, you are one of the lucky ones if you get Parvin Peddi. She is my hero.” -Mindi
“It is my pleasure and honor to have the opportunity to give praise to Dr. Peddi. From the first day I met her, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, she brought calmness and hopefulness to me. She has a way of making you feel you are her only patient. If I was fearful or had a question, I could be guaranteed that within 24 hours I would hear from her. There is no doubt in my mind that her caring and treatments throughout my chemotherapy made it bearable. She is a true gift to all that need her.” – Maureen
“Dr. Parvin Peddi, MD has a glowing personality and is the true definition of the best of the best. Extremely down to earth and easy to talk to. She always has a smile on her face and makes every patient feel cared for, important and welcomed. In my experience, she’s the #1 oncologist because of her professional background and positive attributes where a patient like me is willing to travel any miles to stay under her medical supervision.” – Ching
