Clinical trials are research studies that are designed to evaluate experimental (or “investigational”) medical treatments or procedures. At the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Providence Saint John’s Health Center we are not only conducting various clinical trials for cancer treatment, but we are now a designated site for clinical trials that are evaluating the two most promising drugs in treating patients and combating COVID-19.

  • In collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, JWCI is conducting a phase 2 & 3 clinical trial to evaluate sarilumab in adult patients hospitalized with COVID-19.
